Profile

Born in Mito, Ibaraki, in 1995.

At age 5, she started learning piano and also started studying Saxophone at age 12. She is the 1st prize winner of the 22nd Japan classic music competition and the 15th Junior saxophone competition. Also she got a gold prize at the 15th Japan junior wind and percussion competition, and she won the 4th prize at the 31st Japan wind and percussion competition.

In 2016, she was selected as a part soloist for the Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” during the NHK symphony orchestra’s tour, and she received a great attention by her beautiful sound and musicality.

She studies under both prominent teacher, Mr. Nobuya Sugawa and Ms. Nami Tsurukai, and Mr. Masaki Oishi. She has been getting a scholarship form Yamaha since 2014. Now she is a student in Tokyo University of Arts and a soprano saxophonist of Lumie Saxophone Quartet.

Lately she has appeared on many medias, such as the TV program “Enter the Music”(BS Japan), “Hirunandesu!”(Nippon TV) etc., and introduced as a one of the most promising young artist.

Now she he is the most remarkable saxophonist in her generation.
