Yuko Miyagawa was born into a well-known musician family in Tokyo. After receiving her Bachelor at the Toho Gakuen School of Music, she completed her studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg and Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She won 1st prizes at the 6th International Chamber Music Competition in Tokyo as well as at the cello competition of Calabria, Italy and so on. Miyagawa performs regularly around Europe and Japan. And she is also known for her collaboration with traditional Japanese artists.
